Virginia Water Pavilion - Windsor Great Park

In January 2021 Fulcrum were Awarded the supply and installation of catering equipment and cold rooms to the new Pavilion construction at Virginia Water in Windsor Great Park, Surrey.

The design and build project was managed by Interiorbuild UK Ltd with close attention of Crown Estate representatives throughout, protecting the integrity of this historic park.

A notable installation feature was the dual-temp Cold/Freezer Store sited away from the kitchen in a remote storage unit, one of two rooms supplied and installed by Celltherm (through Fulcrum), where refrigerant and power lines to the condensers were laid through a submerged trench.

The cooksuite contains a mix of manufacturers with a ‘Falcon’ induction range and flexipan unit and a ‘Unox’ combination oven.

The dishwasher is a ‘Maidaid’ pass-through with steam condense and heat recovery system.

Fulcrum handled the supply and installation of the ‘Ansul’ fire suppression system within the extract canopy through Marlowe Kitchen Fire Suppression Ltd.

One of the last items to be installed were two ‘Weald’ double-door display wine chillers which had to be wall-mounted on a pre-fabricated bolt backplate. The weight of the cabinets and low ceiling height made this an extremely tricky process which needed to be millimetre perfect. Thanks to considerable pre-planning, both cabinets went in smoothly at the first attempt and without a hitch.

Our supply partners for this project were Falcon, Unox, Blue Seal, Foster, Maidaid, Celltherm, Scotsman, Gamko, Osborne, Counterline, Instanta, Hatco, Weald and Dualit.

As with many projects we needed to be very flexible with our site-attendances, working alongside late-finishing M&E contractors, in order to get the project handed over within deadlines.

The result is a great looking and highly functional year-round catering facility which many will enjoy as part of the Virginia Water experience for years to come.
