Fulcrum Commercial Kitchens Ltd is a classically structured catering equipment distributor based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. With industry experience and knowledge going back 25 years we are able to offer a genuinely reliable and quality service throughout.

Fulcrum has 1200sq.ft of Ground Floor warehouse which is fully stocked with ancillary equipment such as gastronorms, taps, oversprays, hand basins, gas hoses, softeners and flykillers for those urgent occasions. We deal with a full range of known quality UK based manufacturers such as Foster, Rational, Blue Seal, Maidaid, Precision, Hobart, Victor, Falcon, Mechline, Instanta, Blanco, Sissons, Bedfords et al.

On the mezzanine floor we have a spacious 1200sq.ft of design/administration office offering a full planning, supply and installation service complete with a small meeting area should wish to discuss proposals over a light lunch in Marlborough. We also offer bespoke fabrication either as part of our full contract designs or as specialist one-off items tailored to your exact needs.

We regularly design, supply and install commercial kitchen extraction systems, gas interlock systems and bio-fluid grease management. Please do not hesitate to ask for all of these services. David Burnett – Director

David Burnett

David Burnett

David has worked in Catering Design and Project Management for the past 30 years but will be the first to admit that you can never know everything.

With that premise established it ensures Fulcrum treats all contracts as a unique set of challenges – and that is exactly how it should be. Never the ‘hard sell’ merchant, David wins his business by giving customers the confidence that his knowledge and experience will give them the right equipment at a fair price, installed without fuss or headaches.

Always directly available to speak to, from the most minor of enquiries to a major project, the phone is always turned on. In quoting jobs we also pride ourselves on the promise of a ‘firm price’ – a concept the more ruthless distributors find hard to grasp!

Grace Greenaway – Business Co-ordinator

Grace Greenaway

Grace has worked for Fulcrum for nearly 5 years; specialising in the general day-to-day running of the company, its finances, staff and admin. A ‘jack of all trades’, she is the first port of call for all business-related queries and her in-depth knowledge of the industry means she is equally equipped to handle sales enquiries, when they arise.

With a variety of customer service experience under her belt, she has the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet customers expectations. She is particularly good at forming and maintaining solid working relationships with both clients and suppliers, always available in a crisis! She is a patient, methodical worker who welcomes problem solving.

Grace’s in-depth knowledge of the company’s client, account and service history makes her a valuable asset to the team and she is key in the company’s future development.

Chris Edwards – Projects Manager

Chris Edwards

New to the world of commercial kitchens, Chris joins Fulcrum in a wide-ranging Projects role having spent many years working within pressured Sales environments.

Most recently working as an Etail Account Manager; Customer service and management of delivery deadlines were key to this position and this directly transfers to his role at Fulcrum where project deadlines are paramount.

Whether it be for a single item or whole kitchen, Chris will ensure key dates are honoured, going the extra mile to make the whole process run smoothly.

Working closely with Dave, Chris will cover all aspects of projects management, procurement, logistics and technical liaison.
We are confident we have the right man in the right role and a valuable member of the Fulcrum team for  years to come.
 

Phil Barber - Project Sales Co-ordinator

Phil Barber

Phil joins us in the position of Project Sales Co-Ordinator and will be working closely with Dave and Chris to cover many aspects of project management including quotations, procurement and logistics. His experience of overseeing the operational health of multiple commercial kitchens combined with his experience of managing and co-ordinating customers, quotations and deliveries gives Phil an excellent grounding.

As one of the newest members of the team – and our token Mancunian – Phil is new to the world of commercial kitchens. However, he has already experienced the front-line of Hospitality and Foodservice in his time as Visitor Services Manager at Bowood House & Gardens. This gives us an invaluable first-hand viewpoint to assist how we approach matters from ‘our side of the fence’. Allied to his most recent Account Co-Ordinator role with logistics company Bishopsgate, we fully expect him to excel in the co-ordination of Fulcrum’s projects. He also brings with him an honours degree in Tourism and Leisure Management from The University of Huddersfield. Phil’s meticulous approach, clear thinking methodology and calm demeanor under pressure will no doubt be welcomed by our customers.

Katie Woodman – Office Administrator

Katie Woodman

Katie has joined the Fulcrum team as a part-time Administrator to spread the load of Fulcrum’s ever-increasing workload. She has worked alongside Dave in the past with his previous company, covering both Admin and Service.

Katie has a varied range of customer service and office administration experience, her most recent position being within a busy business delivery team, providing training for the veterinary industry.

She works well, both as part of the team and independently, and is highly focused and organised. Katie will be working closely with Grace on the accounts side of the business and is looking forward to the challenges that the role demands.

Danny Craig – Service Manager

Danny Craig

New to the world of commercial kitchens, and having spent the majority of his career working within the UK’s largest independent fleet management company, Danny joins us in the role of Service Manager.

With an extensive background in customer service, operations and account management, Danny is accustomed to working in a fast-paced, reactive environment and focuses strongly on meeting the needs of the customer while delivering real-time solutions. The skills learned in his previous role, where he was directly responsible for man-managing and coordinating a large external team, are highly relevant to managing the Service department, where fast response times and proactive thinking are paramount. He takes a considered and pragmatic approach to the work that he does, with focus on punctuality and accuracy - all essential skills when dealing with an emergency breakdown. We understand the impact and urgency of losing an integral item of kitchen equipment when faced with hungry customers!

We’re looking forward to working with Danny as he learns the intricacies of the catering industry and progresses within the company.

Andy Eatwell – Driver / Warehouse Operative

Andy Eatwell

Andy joins the Fulcrum Team as our Driver/Warehouse Operative.

Having previously worked as an airport chauffeur, a delivery driver for Ocado and as a handyman/mobile site cleaner for Mitie, it’s fair to say he’s spent most of his working life behind the wheel and knows the South of England’s road network like the back of his hand!

Unfazed by the early starts and unpredictable hours this role presents, he claims to be ‘passionate about punctuality’ and always does his utmost to arrive on time – if not a little early! – with the right tools and mentality to complete any job given to him.

When he’s not out on the road, Andy is in control of our warehouse; including stock/quality control, ordering, receiving and the dispatching of goods. Whether he’s on site or off, he’s happy to help engineers and clients alike, wherever and however he is needed.
