Fulcrum recently completed the full Kitchen installation at Gwenneth Rickus Primary School in Wembley, North West London.

Gwenneth Rickus Primary School

Gwenneth Rickus is a traditional Victorian school building which has until recently only been partially used as a primary school. Due to a shortage of primary school places in the borough, Brent Council approved a refurbishment of the remaining part of the building so that it can be fully restored as a major working primary school.
In December 2013, due to unforeseen circumstances with a previous kitchen contractor, Fulcrum were contacted by GMS Building Services Ltd with an urgent request for us to tender for the kitchen supply & installation package. We also needed to develop the design at a very late stage before finalising our drawings. Fulcrum reacted quickly to the challenging schedule and within 72 hours of meeting with the client, a design had been developed, and a drawing and specification produced. Impressed by the speed of turnaround, GMS then instructed us to proceed.

Gwenneth Rickus School Kitchen Floor Plan

During the refurbishment we worked closely with Glen Gill and Ross Capuzza of GMS Building Services Ltd, a construction company based local to the site in London NW2. GMS were responsible for completing the building works, the wall finishes, installing the flooring and lighting and all Mechanical and Electrical services. Fulcrum then supplied and fitted all the equipment and bespoke fabrications, to the agreed specification and design.

Despite a challenging schedule the finished kitchen was completed efficiently and to a high standard will prove an asset in Gwenneth Rickus school’s expansion.
